Hello to all of our family and friends, Mick and Vonnie here!
Up until now, we've tried to keep in contact with you all via email, but due to time and reception restraints we have decided to start a blog.
We'll start from Canberra as most of you would've had photos from our trip up until now.
We arrived in Canberra yesterday lunchtime with our fellow travellers Brad and Trish Chaisty on the 6/03/2010 to our daughters house at Duntroon. Felt a bit strange at first driving the caravans into an army base but we're all settled in now. Cassie's street now looks like an upgraded tent embassy with the two van's and two 4wd's in the street!
Had a lovely garden party yesterday afternoon, drinking wine and eating cheese underneath the big trees in Cassie's backyard, also met the other army wives of the street.
Yesterday we drove from Bateman's Bay across the Great Dividing Range to Canberra.... what a climb! Poor old cars barely got out of first gear... Brad is bragging that the Pajero is better than the Cruiser... but only a tad better in the fuel economy so far!
We'll post some photos of our trip so far and try to keep up to date from now on!
Cassie has the week off to show us around Canberra so hopefully more photos to come!
